Since 1932, Empire has manufactured gas-fired home heating equipment at its plant in Belleville, Illinois – located near St. Louis.
The company is committed to building high-quality zone heating products and offering them at competitive prices.
Through the years, Empire has developed a network of knowledgeable distributors and dealers who can help consumers select the right product for their home and follow through with trained technicians to install and service the heater.
Empire offers a full line of direct-vent, vent-free, and B-vent heaters in sizes to warm almost any room. Nearly all of Empire’s heaters are made in the company’s two Belleville facilities.
SUPER-EFFICIENT WALL FURNACES
Vent-Free systems draw room air to support combustion in a clean burning blue-flame or radiant-plaque system. Rated at 99.9 percent
efficient, vent-free heaters release nearly all of the available heat energy into the room.
To ensure safe operation, all vent-free systems include an Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS) to automatically turn off the heater if room oxygen level drops to an unsafe level.
Vent-free systems are designed to provide supplemental heat and may not be used as a primary heat source.
Direct-Vent systems mount on an outside wall and have a vent-within-a-vent system to draw in outdoor air to support combustion and
exhaust flue products to the outdoors.
The vent cap installs on the outside wall of the home. Because they do not draw your already-heated room air to support combustion, Direct-Vent systems are among the most efficient of the vented heaters. A Direct-Vent system may be installed as your home’s primary heating system.
Vented zone heating systems use room air to support combustion and exhaust their flue products to the outdoors via a single pipe.
Mounts anywhere you have access to an existing flue or where you can install a vent run through the roof. A vented zone
heating system makes an excellent replacement for an inefficient oil or wood stove.
Vented zone heating systems may be installed as the primary heating system.
At 90% AFUE, the UltraSaver90Plus is the most efficient wall furnace available. This clean, modern cabinet fits any décor. Choose models in 35,000 or 17,500 BTUs.
Simple Operation – For all of its technology, the US90 is surprisingly easy to operate. The built-in control panel lets you operate the wall furnace manually or set the built-in thermostat to maintain the desired temperature.
Versatile Installation – Thanks to its super efficiency, the US90 uses widely available 2-inch PVC pipe or Empire approved Poly pipe for venting. Using PVC requires just a fraction of the material cost and labor involved in steel vent pipe. PVC pipe fits easily inside a standard stud wall, eliminating the additional framing and clearances required for metal vent pipe. The 2-inch PVC pipe can run up to 50 feet to terminate vertically or horizontally.
